What Is This New Breaking Bad Project?
On X, Norris announced that he is revisiting the hit show in his new book, Do What You’re Gonna Do: The Definitive Oral History of Breaking Bad, which will be available to read on November 3.
“Do what you’re gonna do” is a reference to the last words that Hank says before Jack Welker (Michael Bowen) shoots and kills him in season 5, episode 14, “Ozymandias.”
Norris says the book is “packed with never-before-heard stories and exclusive interviews.”
The book is co-written by Joe Layden and is available for pre-order via Amazon and other retailers.

Toy Story 5: Release Date, Reviews & Box Office Hype
Is a New Breaking Bad TV Show or Movie Happening?
The short answer: No, not right now.
With Better Call Saul having ended and no announced plans to add any additional stories to the narrative that began with Breaking Bad, Norris’ new book is the only kind of new and related content on the way.
Series creator Vince Gilligan is now focused on making season 2 of Pluribus, his Apple TV+ science-fiction show led by Better Call Saul star Rhea Seehorn.
However, Gilligan himself left the door slightly open in a 2023 Variety interview, saying: “To be brutally honest, if I get my ass handed to me with this next show and the one after that, and nobody wants to see it and everybody wants Breaking Bad, who knows! Maybe we’ll see our way clearer to doing something in the future.”

Better Call Saul was spun off from Bob Odenkirk’s fan-favorite character, Saul Goodman.
El Camino was released in 2019, and while it was mostly well-liked by critics and audiences, most agreed that it failed to capture the same magic as the original series.
Our recommended watch order: Breaking Bad (all 5 seasons) first, then El Camino, then Better Call Saul.
